How to Unlock Hotel Castillo Forza Horizon 5

Hotel Castillo is a huge castle that you can buy and make it your home in Forza Horizon 5. This has to be the most prestigious property in Horizon Mexico. And while you might not be a fan of huge houses, Hotel Castillo is worth unlocking for the free Wheelspins that will speed up your progression in Forza Horizon 5.

How to Unlock Hotel Castillo

To unlock Hotel Castillo in Forza Horizon 5 you have to complete the Horizon Rush expedition which is called the “Canyon Expedition”. Set up the PR base for Horizon Mexico and the house will appear on your map. Once you have the Horizon Rush Outpost, you can find the Hotel Castillo just slightly to the left of it.

Drive all the way to the house and you will be able to buy it for a measly 5,000,000 CR. Yeah, we know, five million is a lot. But you get some decent rewards for it and those can earn you the money back quite quickly.

Quickest Way to Earn Credits

5,000,000 CR is a lot of credits. This is the most expensive property in Forza Horizon 5 after all. But here are a few tips that you can use to earn money much quicker than by just completing default racing events.

Wheelspins

The best way to get lots of credits in Forza Horizon 5 is Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins. Those will give you a ton of rewards including money. Now, you will get garbage drops from Wheelspins sometimes. But, it is still by far the best method to get money.

Wheelspins are awarded for many things in Forza Gorizon 5 but leveling up and spending skill points will be the things to focus on. Leveling up is pretty straightforward, just complete events to get XP and level up.

While skill points are a bit more complicated. Perform different skill chains and combos to earn points and spend them on Car Mastery upgrades. Some of the upgrades give you Wheelspins so find a car that has at least one of them. And if you hear a Skill Song on the radio, make the most of it.

The Goliath and The Colossus

Both The Goliath and The Colossus are some of the biggest road races in Horizon Mexico. Each will take around 30 minutes to finish (depending on the car that you are using) but it will be worth it.

The races are not available from the get-go, so here’s how to unlock them:

After winning any of the races you will get some credits and a bunch of XP (a couple of levels in total) that will give you free Wheelspins. And as we already know, Wheelspins can make you a ton of money in a very short time.

Take your time and grind these races if you want to make money fast. You can also choose to race The Marathon but since it’s a street race you risk losing because of the AI road drivers. If not you, then your opponents will definitely crash at least once.

Sell Unused Cars

All those Wheelspins will throw money, cosmetics, and sometimes even cars at you. In the end, you can have a bunch of cars that you know you don’t like and won’t use. What to do with them? Sell them on the used cars auction!

To sell cars on the auction in Forza Horizon 5:

Enter any of the Festival sites or owned houses
Go to the “Buy & Sell” tab
Select “Action House” and then “Start Auction”

You will then see all your cars. Choose one and put it for sale. There is a reasonable limit on the price the car can go for and it will depend on the car you are selling. Select a starting price, the buyout price, and the auction length to start the auction.

Make sure to check up on the auction the next day (or whenever it ends) to see if the car was sold. If not then adjust the price accordingly. Once you sell your car, remember to claim your money within 60 days, or it will be lost.

Bug: No Free Wheelspins From Hotel Castillo

There is a known bug in Forza Horizon 5 with the Hotel’s free Wheelspins. You log in and there are no Wheelspins for you. It’s actually not a bug but a feature (not even a joke) that the property’s description failed to mention.

To get your free Wheelspin free roam in the open world for around 15-20 minutes doing PR stunts, Horizon Arcade events, or just driving around. You will get a pop-up notification that you got your Wheelspin. Sometimes the Wheelspin appears without the notification so just keep checking your pause menu.
