Where to find the Jadeite Orb in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Chocked to the brim with main missions and tricky sidequests, you might struggle to find the Jadeite Orb in Dragon’s Dogma 2 if you overthink the scope of it or take the clues out of context. Here’s how to approach one of the more dynamic quests in the game.

Looking to change your hairstyle before your next big adventure? Knowing how to get RC in Dragon’s Dogma 2 can keep the cost low. Likewise, getting your own home in the capital can help you save on those expensive inn stays between big fights.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Jadeite Orb location

The Jadeite Orb being sold in a shop in Dragon's Dogma 2.

You’ll likely start the Jadeite Orb quest as soon as you make it to the rest town checkpoint to the west of Vernworth that leads to Battahl. A character should approach you and ask for help finding the misplaced valuable object.

If you do stroll around town to search for clues, you might have another character approach you with the same request. Two people want to get their mitts on the rock. Who gets it is up to you.

As it turns out, the Jadeite Orb hasn’t fallen far from the tree. The Forgery shop nestled behind a few others in the same little village has it sitting on the counter.

Make the purchase through the shop menu and make a decision: turn it over to one of the characters for a simple reward of XP and gold, or pay out to have the vendor forge a copy, allowing you to please both parties. Sort of.

Who to give the Jadeite Orb to

Presenting the cloned Jadeite Orb as the real deal can land you in a spot of trouble. The NPCs can sometimes spot the differences in the cloned items and exact their revenge.

Get lucky (or come back after taking a beating) and you’ll be able to reap the rewards from both, potentially recouping the costs of the item and its forgery, gaining a bit of extra coin, and benefiting from a good chunk of experience for the trouble.

Of course, you can play it safe by simply giving the real orb to either NPC and walking away. Things only get dicey if you decide to appease both parties by breaking the law a little.

There’s plenty more game left after this excursion. Use our Dragon’s Dogma 2 map to scout out new lands and the safe passages that lead to them, and keep our Dragon’s Dogma 2 guides hub close by in case you come across more quests like this.
