The Nintendo Live fanfest is coming to the United States this year, Nintendo has announced.

Following the event’s return in Japan last year, the in-person experience will take place in Seattle this September.

Nintendo Live 2023 will feature Switch gameplay opportunities, live stage performances, gaming tournaments, photo ops and other activities.

The event will take place in a large-scale themed area, with the specific timing, the venue and further details set to be confirmed at a later date.

“Fans of all ages can currently experience the unique games, characters and worlds of Nintendo on Nintendo Switch, but we want to expand that scope with a new experience,” said Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser.

“With Nintendo Live 2023, we’re giving attendees a chance to celebrate together with family, friends and the broader Nintendo community in the spirit of fun and creating long-lasting memories.”

It also included the finals of a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online tournament, a stage show about the history of Pokémon games, a live quiz and tournaments for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Nintendo Switch Sports and Splatoon 3.
