Killing it
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been quite divisive thus far, with lots of discussion online about the pros and cons of this anti-hero looter shooter. However, it appears to be doing just fine when it comes to sales; in the UK, the game has arrived at number one on the physical retail chart, selling over 80 per cent of those copies on PS5.
For a little extra context on how its launch weekend has gone, GamesIndustry's Christopher Dring shared some comparisons on X:
It means Persona 3 Reload, which also launched just before the weekend, has to settle for second place, but that's not a bad start for the RPG remake. The game also sold most of its physical copies on PS5. Fellow new releases Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash didn't make as big a splash, debuting in 15th and 29th respectively.
Last week's big hitters, Tekken 8 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, have of course dropped down the chart. The former is down two places to third, and the latter takes a tumble from second to 28th.
The rest of the physical top 10 (below) is made up of the usual bestsellers:
