Sonic X Shadow Generations Offering Sonic Jam Skin For Those Who Sign Up For Newsletter

SEGA has revealed that those of you who sign up to the Sonic X Shadow Generations newsletter by November 1, 2024 will bag themselves a retro-fused Sonic Jam Skin for the Blue Blur.

Sonic Jam was one one of the first 3D appearances for the speedy hedgehog, and was released on the Sega Saturn in 1997. The game is a compilation of the Mega Drive Sonic games, but featured a 3D hub known as Sonic World where you could control Sonic and explore a small zone packed with info on the games. It’s this model of Sonic that the skin is based on, and predates Dreamcast’s Sonic Adventure by one year.

Sonic X Shadow Generations is scheduled for release on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on October 25, 2024. The game is a full remaster of the 2011 title Sonic Generations, but also features brand new chapters featuring Shadow the Hedgehog, who is set to star in this year’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie.
