PSA: Genshin Impact added a skip dialogue button but fans may still be disappointed

With the new Genshin Impact 4.5 update now available, players have noticed that HoYoverse added a skip dialogue button, but it’s not all that it’s cut out to be, leaving fans a little disappointed.

Genshin Impact has a skip dialogue option, but it’s not the best

One Genshin Impact fan on Reddit wondered how long this skip dialogue option had been available for, and wasn’t sure if they were just tripping out. Luckily, they were not tripping, and other players noted that Genshin Impact recently received this skip dialogue button. But to our dismay, it’s only available in certain dialogue situations.

You can now only skip dialogue in hangouts, specifically during the repeated lines. HoYoverse encourages players to see all the different endings of character hangouts, but most players have been asking for the option to skip dialogue in all situations.

Many Genshin Impact players, even I, have complained about Genshin Impact’s incredibly long and sometimes boring dialogue scenes. With the option to skip dialogue, it would make it a lot easier to get through scenes without having to mash the left mouse button to skip dialogue.

This has left a lot of players annoyed that HoYoverse only decided to add this option to the part of the game that many players may not care for. Although it’s a plus for replaying hangouts, players are still begging HoYoverse for a skip option for all dialogue and cutscenes.

Although you may miss out on the story, this is good for players who don’t really care much for the dialogue and would rather get to the next quest. Hopefully, this continued outrage will inspire HoYoverse to add this option into all dialogue moments, but I wouldn’t be surprised to not see this ever become an option.

We’ll just have aggressively click through dialogue like usual. Otherwise, if you enjoy replaying hangouts for your favorite Genshin Impact characters, you’ll be pleased to see this update.
