Hell yeah
PlayStation has published the PS Store sales charts for April, and the rankings make for an interesting read. High-profile PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade did pretty well, rocking up to second in North America and fourth in Europe. That's not quite on par with what we'd expect from, say, a AAA PlayStation Studios title, but it's still a very solid return for a single-player action game in the current climate.
In North America, Stellar Blade was topped only by the frankly unstoppable Helldivers 2, which is now three months old. Arrowhead's shooter is bona fide blockbuster at this point, also settling for third place in Europe.
Which brings us to Europe's current king: Sea of Thieves. Previously an Xbox console exclusive, the co-op-focused pirate adventure has performed brilliantly, finding a whole new audience on Sony's system. It placed third in North America, which is still an achievement.
Elsewhere, Fallout 4 got a boost off the back of the recent Amazon show and the launch of its PS5 port. The rest of the charts are packed with the usual suspects, with March's heavy hitters — Dragon's Dogma 2 and Rise of the Ronin — sticking around a bit further down.
