The critically acclaimed puzzle game series Monument Valley has been entertaining fans on iOS and Android for over a decade now. With millions of downloads under its belt, this puzzler is one of the genre's most popular. Ustwo Games is carrying forward its legacy with Monument Valley 3, which is now open for pre-registration.

Monument Valley 3, which is set to hit the App Store and Google Play on December 10th, will become part of Netflix Games' lineup. The streaming giant’s catalogue already features Monument Valley, with the sequel to be added on October 29th. Just over a month later, the third iteration will release, with even more mind-bending puzzles and geometric maps that defy all logic.

If you haven’t played any of the predecessors, don’t worry because Monument Valley 3 is a standalone title with a new protagonist in an even newer world. You will step into the shoes of a heroine, Noor, who embarks on a journey to find a novel source of light before her world fades into darkness. You must sail through the realms and solve the puzzles in time, or else the rising waters will swallow your village forever. 

It's pretty clear from the success of its predecessors that there isn’t much of a need to reinvent the wheel. All the core elements from the franchise will be maintained, of course, with some fresh touches. For instance, this time, you’ll be sailing across the world and will be able to return to your home village, where you can interact with rescued characters.
