Hogwarts Legacy Hippogriff Marks The Spot: How to start the quest

You can begin the Hippogriff Marks The Spot by traveling to Poidsear Castle, where the map can be found sitting on a table. You’ll also have a mission indicator for the map.

You then need to head to Henrietta’s Hideout, in the Manor Cape. It’s to the west of Clagmar Castle, on the small piece of land that kicks out from the side of the map. You can see the building in the image above, you need to head there, deal with the enemies, then enter the cavern underneath.

Open the doors by matching the flaming cube to the flame icon and the same with the freezing one. Casting a flame spell when the correct cube is on the correct icon will cause the door to open, where you’ll find even more Ashwinders. Clear them out before proceeding.

In order to solve the Hippogriff Marks The Spot, head to the large Hippogrith statue in the middle of the room.

In order to complete the puzzle you’re going to have to extinguish specific braziers using a Glacio spell.

Standing in front of the statue like in the above image, you’re going to want to extinguish it.

• Directly in front of the statue
• One to the left
• Keep the next one lit
• Extinguish the next one
• Keep the next one lit
• Extinguish the next one
• Keep the last two lit

If you’ve done this correctly, a back wall will open and reveal the chest.
