Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree Guide – How To Get To The Cerulean Coast – Finally, the long-awaited expansion for Elden Ring titled Shadow Of The Erdtree is here, brimming with new things for players to see and do in the Realm of Shadow.

The new region to explore that is the Realm of Shadow is broken up into five map fragments, and while you’ll want to see them all they are not all easy to get to.

Some of them – like the Cerulean Coast – are deceptive in how you access them. It’s possible to run around for hours without finding a way to it, and that’s a shame because it’s one of the most beautiful areas across the DLC and the base game.

Which is why this guide will quickly explain how to get there, so you don’t miss out.

Let’s get into it.

Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree Guide – How To Get To The Cerulean Coast

Head South, But First Cross A Bridge

That’s the basic way of saying it. You have to head south, but the moment you enter the Gravesite Plains you’ll realize you can only go so far south before falling off a cliff.

Of course you need to go south a specific way, and thankfully it’s not too much more complicated. Here’s the directions listed out in bullet points:

  • Beginning from the Three-Road Cross site of grace, head east and cross the Ellac Greatbridge towards Castle Ensis.
  • Unlock the Castle Front site of grace (optional) and then continue southeast until you see the path divide into two, one that takes you up and towards a Forge, lined with soldiers fighting a new larger enemy and one that takes you down towards green poison swamps and take the path heading down.
  • Once you’re standing in the poison swamp turn left while hugging the side of the cliff until you see a path down to a patch of water with a giant crab enjoying the fresh water.
  • Opposite the giant crab will be a cluster of poison flowers including a giant flower, which hides a tunnel path just behind it. Defeat the flowers or run past them into the tunnel path, and keep moving through it until you’ve reached the Ellac River Cave site of grace.
  • From the Ellac River Cave site of grace, head out into the main river and begin your long journey south along the river
  • There will be points where you’ll need to stick to one side of the river to keep moving south, just keep moving south until you reach the end of the river and begin to see a field of bright blue flowers, at which point the title card for the Cerulean Coast should appear and you should be able to unlock the site of grace for it.

That’s all! Once you’re there, keep heading south to unveil on the clouded part of the map the map fragment totem for the Southern Shore, and then you’ll have unlocked the bottom portion of the map.
