City Connection announces JALECOlle Famicom Ver. series for Switch

City Connection has announced JALECOlle Famicom Ver., a new series of re-releases from Jaleco’s catalog of Famicom titles for Switch. The first title to launch will be Pinball Quest (JFC-01) on August 1, followed later by Yokai Club (JFC-02) and Bio Senshi Dan: Increaser to no Tatakai (JFC-03).

The JALECOlle Famicom Ver. series will focus on action games, excluding titles that were a household name at the time such as City Connection, Ninja JaJaMaru-Kun, and Moero Pro Yakyuu!! Over 10 titles are planned for release, including some that have never been released on modern hardware. New music arrangements are being handled by Daisuke Matsumoto.

New features include rewind and quick save, both English and Japanese language options, a subtitle guide that instantly explains the effects of items and so on, and other special functions for each title.

Other features include in-game achievements, a materials mode to view the game’s box art, manual, flyers, and so on from back in the day, an option to reduce distortion at the edge of the screen, screen filters, changeable wallpapers, and a pause status indicator.
