The FY24 Q3 results are in

Image: XboxMicrosoft has today released its financial results for Q3 2024 and its Xbox gaming revenue growth is up by more than 51% year-over-year.
Once again, this is mostly credited to Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which was closed on October 13, 2023. This latest figure factors in 55 points of net impact from this deal.
As for Xbox's content and services revenue, it's up by 62% year-over-year, with 61 points of net impact from Activision Blizzard. And on the hardware front for the gaming division, revenue has declined by 31%.
Microsoft's CFO Amy Hood has also noted how the tech giant expects Xbox hardware revenue to drop further in the next quarter. Xbox content and services though are expected to be up in Q4 (via The Verge).
Overall in FY24 Q3, Microsoft made $61.9 billion in revenue, which is up by 17% year-over-year.
Looking ahead, Xbox has games like Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming to Series X|S as well as its Game Pass subscription service in 2024. The company has also teased new hardware.
