World of Warcraft Season of Discovery: What Are Wild Offerings, and What Is the Wild God’s Quest?

3 weeks ago 33

World of Warcraft’s Season of Discovery recently received its Phase 3 update, adding a ton of content to the game in the form of new Runes, Raids, Dungeons, and more. However, there is one update that is leaving some players scratching their heads.

Wild Offerings are showing up in player’s inventories, and some don’t understand why. The Wild Offerings are associated with the Wild God’s quest but can be earned before the quest is even started, leading to a bit of confusion. Given that these items are the gateway to some pretty solid gear upgrades, it’s in players’ best interests to understand how to get them and what they are used for. This guide will walk players through Wild Offerings: Complete the Wild God’s quest, how to earn them the Offerings, and what they are used for, so that all players can be geared at their best for this new phase of WoW: SoD.

What is the Wild God’s Quest?

The Wild God’s Quest is a quest for players level 40 and above. To start the quest players can speak to the Shadowtooth Emissary, located in the Felwood, just south of the Emerald Sanctuary. She will task players with killing Delirious Ancients, located in the revamped Blackrock Depths, Maraudon, and Zul’Farrak dungeons, and bringing back the Wild Offerings they drop.

How do players get Wild Offerings?

To do so, players will first need to acquire an item that allows them to fight the Delirious Ancients in these dungeons. Players will kill Trolls in the Hinterlands until they drop an item called the Wildwhisper Draught. From there, players will go to the Razerfen Downs dungeon, using the item in the final boss area. This will spawn the Spirit of Agamaggan, who will give players Agamaggan’s Roar, an item that allows them to spawn the Delirious Ancients in their respective dungeons.

Note that only one player needs to use the Wildwhisper Draught to spawn the Spirit of Agamaggan, meaning a party only requires one person to do the first few steps of the quest.

Players will then begin clearing the Blackrock Depths, Maraudon, and Zul’Farrak dungeons. Players can run through the same dungeon multiple times for the Wild Offerings, so they can feel free to pick their favorite dungeon of the three if they prefer. A Delirious Ancient will spawn once three bosses have been killed in Zul’Farrak, the final boss has been killed in Maraudon, or when all bosses have been cleared in Blackrock Depths.

Once the Delirious Ancient spawns, players must use the Agamaggan’s Roar item to make them active. By defeating a Delirious Ancient, the players will receive a Wild Offering as a reward. Only one person needs to use the Agamaggan’s Roar item to make the Delirious Ancient vulnerable, meaning Wild Offerings can be earned before a player has progressed to this point in the quest.

Once a player has earned three wild offerings, they can return to the Shadowtooth Emmisary to complete the Wild God’s Quest.

What are the Wild Offerings used for?

Once players have completed the quest, the Shadowtooth Emissary gives them access to a shop that uses Wild Offerings as currency, selling 55 Item Level rare loot and a bag that gives players a random Darkmoon Card. The full list of the items sold and their prices can be found here:

  • Band of the Wilds – 12 Wild Offerings
  • Breadth of the Beast – 12 Wild Offerings
  • Cord of the Untamed – 15 Wild Offerings
  • Crown of the Dreamweaver – 15 Wild Offerings
  • Defender of the Wilds – 15 Wild Offerings
  • Godslayer’s Greaves – 15 Wild Offerings
  • Shadowtooth Bag – 10 Wild Offerings

Now that players understand their Wild Offerings they can get to running these quests and earning these rewards. These offerings aren’t going to earn themselves, and this loot will be an upgrade for most players in this new phase of WoW: SoD.
