Wield Spinning Blades Of Glory With Shadow Of The Erdtree's Curseblade’s Cirque

Simon Tarnished stands in front of the Erdtree, carrying his Curseblades in the same hands that once carried his infant son. He put that baby down somewhere in Target, and never even chose to remember where. The baby is fine, however, raised by a Target employee who had longed for a child, growing up to win third place in his highschool speed-dance championships.

The Curseblade’s Cirque is a Backhand Blade that can only be obtained in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. It’s one of the most visually distinct weapons in the DLC, and its unique Ash of War can be as thrilling to use as it is effective against your foes. If you’re going all-in on Dexterity, this is a worthwhile weapon to consider adding to your loadout.

Here’s what you need to know about the Curseblade’s Cirque and where to find it.

Curseblade’s Cirque stats and features

The Curseblade’s Cirque has a weight of 4.5 and requires the following stats to wield:

  • STR: 9
  • DEX: 22

The weapon comes equipped with Ash of War: Deadly Dance. This Ash of War sends you spinning ahead with the blades to deal significant damage to any foes in your way. An additional input at the end of the spin will cause you to perform an axe-kick to show everyone who’s boss.

The Curseblade’s Cirque can be upgraded to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones.

Curseblade’s Cirque item description

The Curseblade’s Cirque’s item description reads:

Weapon of the masked Curseblades. Circular backhand blade with wave-like cutting edges, sharpened into points that incite blood loss. Long ago, this was employed by the ascetics who strove to become tutelary deities as a ritualistic object in their self-flagellating dances.

Where to find the Curseblade’s Cirque

You can find the Curseblade’s Cirque by defeating Curseblade enemies, which can be found all throughout the expansion. However, to make your farming extremely easy, there’s actually a Curseblade perched atop an arch right by the first Site of Grace in Gravesite Plain where you first emerge into the DLC.

It's right here, right at the start of the DLC. You don't even need a map.

While this enemy may be challenging (though certainly not impossible) to farm at the beginning of the DLC, you should have no problem whooping up on it once you’ve advanced a little further and improved your Shadow Blessing with Scadutree Fragments.

Whether you decide to farm the Curseblade right away, or come back later, be sure to toss on the Silver Scarab Talisman or use a Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot to improve your item discovery.
