Where to Find the Legendary Shadowbeak in Palworld? Abilities, Breeding Combos, and More

3 months ago 114

Palworld boasts an impressive 138 different Pals that inhabit the immersive biomes of the Paplagos Islands. While common and rare Pals are relatively easier to find, the game features elusive Legendary creatures with outstanding abilities that will significantly enhance your in-game experiences. One notable example is the Shadowbeak, a Dark elemental Pal known for its exceptional combat prowess along with the added ability to be a potent Flying Mount. Let’s jump right in and take a look at its habitat, breeding combos, skills, and more.

Where Can You Find Shadowbeak in Palworld?

Similar to other exotic Pals, Shadowbeak is also found during both day and night in the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary located on the northernmost tip of the map. However, you need to know that this is an endgame location filled with various high-level Pals that pose a significant threat. Furthermore, navigating the sanctuary comes with the added challenge of dealing with PIDF soldiers on patrol. Make sure to equip yourself with the best weapons and armor in your arsenal.

Once you get to the closest Deep Sand Dunes teleport point, you will need a basic flying mount like the Nitewing or a swimming Pal like Surfent to bypass the boundaries of the sanctuary. Since the Shadowbeak is weak to Dragon-type Pals, we recommend you carry Pals like Relaxaurus, Orserk, Jormuntide, etc, as companions to make things easier.

final tower boss

If you’ve maxed out your bases and filled up your Paldeck, you can test your luck by challenging the final Tower Boss Victor and his formidable Shadowbeak, located in the northern snow mountains at the Tower of the PAL Genetic Research Unit teleport point. Considering that this is the final boss in the game, Victor and his Alpha Pal will put up quite a fight while also having a massive health pool of 200,750 HP. This battle demands the utmost from both you and your Pal, requiring the best equipment, skill, and strategic planning.

Once you’ve captured this Legendary Pal, you will have access to its Modified DNA partner skill which significantly enhances Dark attacks while you are riding this Flying mount. Remember that the Saddle for Shadowbeak unlocks only at Level 47 and requires x50 Leather, x25 Venom Gland, x45 Paldium Fragments, and x40 Refined Ingots to craft. You will need 4 Tech points to unlock this saddle.

Breeding Combinations for Shadowbeak in Palworld

Considering its Legendary status, Shadowbeak can only be spawned by breeding two other exotic Pals; the Astegon and Kitsun. Once you’ve acquired the legendary Pal, you can also get a Shadowbeak offspring by combining opposite genders of the species.

  • HP: 120

  • Defense: 140

While it only has a Gathering Level 1 Suitability, Shadowbreak’s combat prowess far outweighs its work skills. As a Dark elemental Pal, it possesses the exclusive skill Divine Disaster, an ability that enables Shadowbeak to charge forward, generating orbs of light that capture enemies and unleash a relentless barrage of lasers on them. Furthermore, it also features the Nightmare Ball and Spirit Flame Dark skills as well.

Players can also take advantage of its passive skills such as:

  • Swift: Increases movement speed by 30%

  • Legend: Increases attack and defense by 20% while also increasing movement speed by 15%

  • Lord of the Underworld: Increases Dark attack damage by 20%

Additionally, you can also use it to create Pals such as:

  • Nitewing + Shadowbeak = Beacon

  • Penking + Shadowbeak = Relaxaurus

  • Elizabee + Shadowbeak =  Helzephyr

  • Mossanda + Shadowbeak = Menasting

  • Cryolinx + Shadowbeak = Cryolinx

That is pretty much everything you need to know about the legendary Shadowbeak in Palworld. Note that the breeding combos were provided by Game8’s breeding calculator.
