I’m a big Sherlock Holmes fan, so anytime something comes across my desk that resembles it, I’m intrigued. The Murder of Sherlock Holmes by cKolmos narrative is certainly that, and it releases May 10th. With a distinct style that reminds me of a certain game I just previewed (Shadows of Doubt, our preview here), I’ll have to check it out. It’ll drop on PSVR2, Quest headsets, and more, so get your magnifying glasses at the ready!

May 2024 – The mystery unfolds in virtual reality with the release of The Murder of Sherlock Holmes, by cKolmos narrative, available this Friday, May 10th. This VR Escape Room game immerses players in the mind of the famous detective as they investigate his murder in the iconic 221B Baker Street.

The Murder of Sherlock Holmes combines the fascinating genre of Escape Rooms with the total immersion in first-person virtual reality. With a unique Voxel Art artistic style, players will be transported to the vibrant universe of Oniria, where every detail comes to life. Find the murderer of this famous character by investigating his own house. The immersion of virtual reality and the challenges of the escape room offer a unique gaming experience.

The game detects the “OK” signal with the hand.

One of the standout features of this game is its exceptional attention to realism in control. Through the innovative use of hand gesture detection system, players can manipulate their virtual environment naturally and immersively. From opening books to solving puzzles, the tactile experience is incomparable. The game also captures the “OK” signal with the hand, avoiding the need for the player to press buttons. This gave the studio the Most Innovative Video Game Award in 2023. The combination of all this results in a fluid and surprising interaction.

Every corner of 221B Baker Street is meticulously designed and full of secrets to discover. Players will be immersed in a captivating narrative as they explore Sherlock Holmes’ residence in search of clues to solve the mystery. Almost every object is interactive, and each book contains information about the Oniria universe and Holmes.

With this game, virtual reality reaches a new level, offering, not only an exciting story, but also unprecedented interaction and immersion that will leave players amazed.
