A total of 16 teams qualified for the tournament but only half of them have managed to qualify for the playoffs.

Valorant Champions 2023 is taking place in Los Angeles, California with 16 of the absolute best teams from across the world fighting for a total prize pool of $2,250,000 USD (INR 18,66,52,463).

With the group stage coming to an end, half the teams have been eliminated while others continue their journey in the playoffs, taking one step closer to lifting the trophy and claiming the title of world champions.

The tournament will continue taking place in the Shrine Expo Hall, which also hosted the group stage, but will switch over to the Kia Forum when only the top four teams are left in the competition.

Valorant Champions 2023 Playoffs: Complete Details

Valorant Champions 2023 is the third iteration of Valorant’s world championship and this time the tournament is taking place in Los Angeles, California. Additionally, this is the first year of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) franchising and partnership which saw the birth of the Europe, Middle- East & Africa (EMEA), Americas, and Pacific Leagues. Valorant Champions 2023 will be the last major competitive tournament of this season.

Out of the 16 competing teams, eight have been eliminated from the group stage while eight others have qualified for the playoffs.

Schedule and Results

The tournament has been divided between groups stage and playoffs which will be taking place from 6th to 26th August.

  • The group stage took place from 6th to 13th August

  • The playoffs will be taking place from 16th to 26th August


Format

  • The eight qualifying teams will take on each other in a double-elimination bracket.

  • All matches in this stage will follow a best-of-three series except for the lower bracket final and grand final, both featuring a best-of-five match.

  • All matches until the top four will be played in the Shrine Expo Hall after which the tournament will shift to KIA Forum.

  • The last team standing will be declared the champion of the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo.

This tournament features a total prize pool of $2,250,000 USD which will be split between all the 16 competing teams.


Livestream

The tournament will be broadcasted live across multiple streaming platforms, primarily Twitch and YouTube, in more than 22 languages.

Apart from the official streams, other co-streams will also run in multiple regional languages by local gaming streamers and creators.
