In news unlikely to alter the downward trajectory of its dwindling stock price, Ubisoft has pulled out of the imminent Tokyo Game Show, citing "various circumstances" and apologising for the short notice.

Ubisoft Japan made the announcement via press release, which was quickly picked up and translated. Due to these unexplained but clearly disruptive "circumstances," the publisher's planned livestream will no longer go ahead. Ubisoft had promised news and updates on Assassin's Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Rainbow Six: Siege, and XDefiant.

Tokyo Game Show kicks off tomorrow, September 26th, and runs until the 29th. One of the world's largest gaming exhibitions, the event is held in the massive Makuhari Messe convention centre in Chiba, located just outside of Tokyo. We'll be keeping a close eye on the event and will, of course, bring word of any relevant PlayStation news.
