The Twisted Metal tv show will be getting a Season 2, star of the show Anthony Mackie confirmed during Thursday’s The Game Awards show.
Mackie attended the show to both announce the second season and present the award for Best Ongoing Game, which went to Cyberpunk 2077.
He also spent a fair amount of time telling members in the crowd shouting niceties at him to “shut up,” so that he could stop trying to respond to each one and get on with presenting the award.
After the announcement, Peacock published a short teaser featuring everyone’s favourite clown Sweet Tooth, which you can see for yourself below.
Shortly after it launched Peacock saw the show become one of the most popular titles on its platform, it even set a new record as the streaming services “most-binged” original comedy series.
With that context it’s not surprising that a Season 2 is on the way, and it’ll be interesting to see if this popularity can help translate into a new Twisted Metal game.
