Tundra Esports handily defeated Entity 2-0 in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 3: Division I.
Entity's drafts in the first series may have been on point, but they were not able to pick up similar lineups which were unable to compete against Tundra's playstyle and map pressure.
In their next series, Entity will play against Quest Esports on 19th May 2023 while Tundra Esports goes up against D1 Hustlers on 22nd May.
The clash between Tundra Esports and Entity in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 3: Division I was much anticipated after both teams won their opening series with ease. However, it proved to be a one sided affair after Tundra thumped Entity 2-0 to secure the series victory in less than an hour. As good as Entity's drafts were in the first series, they didn't stand up to Tundra's solid lineups and playstyle today, falling apart in both games. Entity’s cores, particularly, had a subpar performance as they opted to play heroes outside their usual repertoire.

In game 1, Tundra stole Visage, a hero Entity had utilized to great effect against Liquid, and drafted an overall strong team that included Timbersaw and Spirit Breaker. Simultaneously, with Techies and Bloodseeker as the other two heroes, the team was always aggressive following a great start. Entity's heroes needed time and items to fight back, but the map continued to shrink, and Tundra handily won the game in 26 minutes with 25 kills to Entity's five.
In game 2, Tundra chose Visage again while Entity chose a highly single-target oriented lineup. The team's last selection was, once again strange as it included Windranger paired with Magnus carry. While Entity's firepower did result in several early kills, the damage began to dwindle as time passed and Tundra acquired aura items. Entity killed a few heroes but never had a chance to win the teamfight. Tundra skillfully avoided the opponent's Ultimates and won in 30 minutes.

Although it's still early in Tour 3, Tundra is showing some signs of the sheer dominance they've become accustomed to since last year when they won The International 11 (TI11). Tundra’s highly experienced players and support staff are capitalizing on the new meta, strategically selecting lineups that enable them to fully utilize their aggressive playstyle and assert dominance across the map.
Entity seems to have gone overboard with its choices versus Tundra after a solid series one performance where drafts played a key role, and it paid a high price for it. Windranger didn't have much of an influence in either game, while Magnus offered no impact in the second one in the carry role.
