TSM Parts Ways with Dota 2 Team

TSM has revealed that it is stepping away from the North American Dota 2 scene. In a recent Twitter announcement, the organization expressed its appreciation for its Dota 2 roster, acknowledging the players' growth and dedication throughout the year. Although they've parted ways, TSM voiced confidence in the players' ability to achieve continued success in their careers.

The organization also hinted at forthcoming updates regarding their next moves in Dota 2. The wording of the announcement also indicates that the organization might simply be picking up a new roster based in a different region.

TSM Ends its Dota 2 Journey in North America

TSM entered the Dota 2 arena in 2022 by signing Team Undying. Since the signing, the team secured notable achievements, finishing as the runner-up in both the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 and the BetBoom Dacha 2023 tournaments. The journey reached its pinnacle with a 9th-12th place finish at The International 2023 where they were knocked out by nouns during the Lower Bracket round 2.

Last month, a change occurred in the roster when Matthew "Ari" Walker left TSM to join OG. Following Ari's departure, four players remained on the TSM roster:

• Enzo "Timado" Gianoli

• Jonathan "Bryle" Santos

• Ilyas "kasane" Gainullin 

• Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon

Despite the alterations, TSM played with Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi as its new position 4 player and successfully secured a spot in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 by winning the North America qualifiers. TSM's 3-2 victory over a stacked nouns roster at the ESL One Closed Qualifiers: North America underlined its credentials as a team to watch for.

In light of TSM's recent decision to disband its Dota 2 roster, ESL took to Twitter to inform the community that the former TSM players will continue competing under the banner of "Team Undying," and that there will be no changes to the roster.
