Quest Esports, formerly known as Ooredoo Thunders, has captured the attention of the fans with their exceptional performances at the tournament.

With the addition of Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf as the team’s offlane offlane player, Quest Esports has transformed into a formidable contender on the international stage, showcasing its dominance in the group stages of the Bali Major 2023.

Surprising Expectations: Bali Major Group Stages

After the conclusion of Day 3 in the group stages, Quest Esports finds itself sitting at the top of Group B standings. The team’s journey at the Bali Major 2023 has been nothing short of impressive, as they have secured 4 series wins, 1 series draw, and 0 series losses. Their ability to outperform even the strongest teams in their group, including the formidable Gaimin Gladiators, has taken the Dota 2 community by surprise.

The Key Player - Ammar ATF Al-Hassaf

The most recent addition to the team and a well-known player in the Dota 2 professional landscape, ATF has proven to be a significant addition to the team. The player initially came into the spotlight after he joined OG with fellow teammates Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov and Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev as up-and-coming pub stars. The team went on to win the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 and ESL One Malaysia 2022, proving each player’s individual ability on the international stage.

OG Win ESL One Malaysia

ATF went on to leave OG after The International 11 concluded and joined Nigma Galaxy for a short while. However, his time at Nigma Galaxy did not prove to be successful and he went on to join Quest Esports as the team’s offlaner.

Quest Esports' rise to prominence began in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) WEU Tour 3 Division I, where the team seemed to have developed excellent chemistry with ATF and the other players, and ended with a 3rd-place finish, qualifying for the Bali Major 2023.

Quest Esports - Opponents So Far

The team has faced many opponents in the group stages so far and has managed to secure victories over a majority of them. This includes impressive 2-0 victories against the powerhouse teams from China and South America, Azure Ray, and Evil Geniuses, along with a 1-1 draw against Gaimin Gladiators, the team that is considered to be the strongest in the world after winning Dreamleague Season 20

However, the team’s upcoming games may be its most difficult ones, with its next match against the Top 3 ranking teams from Dreamleague Season 20 in BetBoom and PSG.LGD, along with 9Pandas, another powerhouse from Eastern Europe (EEU).

Quest Esports, fueled by the addition of ATF and its recent success in the DPC, has taken the Bali Major 2023 by storm, leaving its mark on the international Dota 2 scene. The team’s exceptional performances in the group stages have captured the attention of all the fans watching. As they continue their journey in the tournament, the team looks to become a strong contender for the championship title.
