The Last Of Us Part 3 Leaks Hint At Brand New Characters

This weekend saw some new leaks about what we could see in The Last of Us Part 3. We could see brand-new characters and a big role for Ellie.

With no news of a third part to the award winning The Last of Us series, it has turned to prolific leakers to release some news about what we can expect. With Ellie and Abby’s story still ongoing, there is still a lot of ground to cover. 

Luckily, we may see that in the future. 

The Last Of Us Part 3 Leaks Hint At Brand New Characters

These leaks come courtesy of DanielRPK who revealed that The Last of Us Part 3 will introduce five new characters – Lucas, Mason, Val, Ezra and Gracie.

This group will be “scavengers” who are “surviving on the outskirts of a post-apocalyptic city”. Their base will consist of a Victorian house, according to the leaker.

Not only that but we also got some information about the characters in question. 

Ezra will be an antagonist of some sort who aims to take over from Val who is believed to be the leader of the scavengers. 

Lucas will be an “affable” character who “develops a relationship with another young scavenger and will have a turn to show his dark side”. This could be referring to Gracie.

As for Mason, it is believed he is a “former soldier” who battles with his loyalty for the other survivors. 

Ellie Set To Return

With the end of The Last of Us Part 2 giving quite an ambiguous ending to Ellie’s story, it is believed she will still have a big role in the third part. 

This leak comes courtesy of ViewerAnon who says Ellie will be “as important” in TLOU3 as she was in TLOU2. 

The same leaker also hinted that the third game would start filming this year.

A Pinch of Salt

As exciting as these leaks are, they are worth taking with a pinch of salt. Not only are Sony yet to comment but Naughty Dog’s co-president Neil Druckmann spoke this year about TLOU3.

He stated that the team would be willing to work on the game but only if “[the team] can come up with a compelling story that has this universal message and statement about love” as the previous instalments. 

So, it remains to be seen whether these leaks are true. Only time will tell.
