HBO’s The Last of Us has walked away with a total of eight Creative Arts Emmys, with Nick Offerman, who portrayed Bill, picking up the award for Outstanding Guest Actor for his role in the post-apocalyptic horror series.

Offerman’s character featured in his own flashback episode, which unlike the The Last of Us video game, is given much more time for development as we see Bill survive following the outbreak and his subsequent relationship with Frank. While Joel does become acquainted with Bill like the game, he doesn’t end up collaborating with him alongside Ellie, as by the time they arrive in town he’s already dead.

  • Oustanding main title design
  • Outstanding sound editing for a comedy or drama series
  • Outstanding sound mixing for a comedy or drama series

The Last of Us HBO is returning for a second season in early 2025, with production kicking off early this year. The events of The Last of Us Part 2 will be covered in the season second, although showrunner Craig Mazin confirmed the events of that game will be spit into two seasons.

Speaking of The Last of Us Part 2, Naughty Dog will release a remastered version of the game for PS5 on January 19, 2024.
