The regional qualifiers for India and Pakistan have concluded with the top three teams from each country qualifying for the Super Six LAN Finale of The Draft.
Each team will be joined by a Counter-Strike legend who will take on the role of their coach and mentor for the course of this tournament.
The Draft Season 1 will be taking place on LAN in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 8th to 11th February featuring a total prize pool of $50,000 USD.
BLAST, one of the major Counter-Strike tournament organizers in the world, in partnership with NODWIN Gaming, a leading esports and gaming company from South Asia, had announced a special Counter- Strike 2 (CS2) event called The Draft, focussed towards India and Pakistan.
Well, the online regional qualifiers for both countries have concluded and the top three teams from each are all set for The Draft's main event which will be taking place on LAN from 8th to 11th February in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, featuring a total prize pool of $50,000 USD (INR 41,49,220).
The Draft Season 1 Reaches Super Six LAN Finale
A total of six teams have qualified for the LAN finals of The Draft, three each from India and Pakistan.
True Rippers | India Division #1

Gods Reign | India Division #3
Come Mid | Pakistan Division #1
WahWah | Pakistan Division #2
Pak Boyz | Pakistan Division #3
The qualifiers for India took place from 27th January to 2nd February, whereas the qualifiers for Pakistan took place from 28th January to 3rd February.
Both featured six teams competing against each other in a round-robin format where each match was a best-of-two series. After all matches were played, the top three teams from each qualifier moved ahead to the LAN finals.
There will be six Counter-Strike legends who will be joining these teams as their mentors and coaches.

They will provide the much-needed guidance for these teams to improve themselves and elevate their level of performance.
Speaking on representing the region and being a part of True Rippers in The Draft, kennyS said, “The Indian esports scene is really important for the CS ecosystem due to the number of people who are engaged in it and we must ensure they get the recognition they deserve. I’m really happy to represent the region and enable the Counter-Strike scene. It’s really exciting to meet the Asian CS community in general, and I am really happy to represent an Indian organization as it’s a huge part of CS and deserves recognition. I would gladly travel all over Asia to meet more passionate members of our CS community”

The Draft Season 1 will take place over the course of the next four days from 8th to 12th February 2024 featuring $50,000 in prize money which will be distributed between all six competing teams according to their overall final placements.
A double-elimination bracket will be followed where each match will be a best-of-three except for the grand final which will be a best-of-five series.
It will be interesting to see how the CS2 teams from India and Pakistan perform under the guidance of Counter-Strike greats and who walks away as the eventual champion!
