Game Source Entertainment has announced that The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication will be released for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in 2024.
The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication is a reimagined adaptation of The Bridge Curse 2: Ritual and the standalone sequel to The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation, taking the form of a first-person survival horror title that follows the story of multiple characters and uses a contemporary ghost story for its plot .
Set in Taiwan at Wen Hua University, which is one of ten universities notorious for its unsettling ghost stories, The Bridge Curse 2 opens as a film club hosts the Carnival of Horror in order to attract new members. The event takes place at the Da Den building — an area ripe with ghost sightings — with the group looking to recreate a case that happened on campus decades ago by turning it into a movie. Naturally, strange things begin to transpire…
Meanwhile, a reporter arrives on campus at the same time with the hope of solving a missing persons case from years before, and manages to piece together a bunch of clues that unravels a huge conspiracy engulfed in darkness.
Players will traverse the haunted campus from a first-person view, soaking up the bone-chilling atmosphere of a world that integrates ghost stories with local culture and superstition. You’ll solve puzzles, avoid being pursued by the spectres that populate the campus, and explore your surroundings to uncover key items and unearth forgotten mysteries.
