Chapter 5 Season One features significant additions in the form of new game modes that bring millions of players into the enticing world of Fortnite. Apart from the new Lego and Rocket Racing modes, gamers also got access to a Guitar Hero-inspired rhythm game called Fortnite Festival where players can get to try a variety of instruments present in it. All you need to do is select your setlist, pick an instrument, select your difficulty levels, and jump right in. While the process is pretty intuitive, many new players are having a hard time choosing the right musical tools to play. Let’s go ahead and take a look at the best instruments that you need to check out.

Top Instruments That You Need to Play in Fortnite Festival

As part of this Guitar Hero-like game mode players can access new instruments which will be considered as a new type of Locker room item along with Auras, dance emotes, etc. Currently, the game offers five different types of instruments such as:

  • Guitars

  • Keytars

  • Drums

  • Microphones

  • Bass Guitars

Vocals

Although the selection of instruments seems to be quite limited for the time being, many are wondering what the best one to play might be. Well, if you are looking forward to reaching the highest score possible, one easy way to achieve it would be to pick the vocals or the microphone, as almost every song you play guarantees to contain a vocalist. This means you will have more opportunities to hit your notes, eventually building up a higher score in comparison to other instruments.

Guitar

If vocals are not your first preference or if it is taken by another member of your band, the second best option would be to take up the Guitar, as it is probably the most common instrument in most songs, following the mic.

While the Microphone and Guitar are currently the best instruments to reach top scores, the addition of newer songs and instruments would certainly change the game’s meta.

One important thing to note is that choosing these aforementioned instruments does not give you a performance advantage apart from allowing you more opportunities to reach higher scores. You will still need to maintain your timing and hit your notes correctly in order to climb up and make progress.
