The AMR9 is very versatile as it allows players to choose a variety of different classes, depending on their playstyle.

This guide will help you transform the AMR9 into a weapon that shows potential even in midrange combat.

Ever since the release of the Modern Warfare 3 Beta, the AMR9 has been considered to be one of the best SMGs added to the game. It was widely regarded by many fans as a close-range monster thanks to its minimal recoil and damage spread. Thankfully, this has continued to stay through with the season one release that also introduced numerous other maps, weapons, aftermarket parts, and game modes. Let’s jump right in and find out the best builds and attachments for the AMR9 in season one.

The Best AMR9 Build and Loadout in Modern Warfare 3

As we already know, the AMR9 is incredibly potent in close range, despite losing out some points in handling. To improve its potential, this build will allow it to be effective even in mid-range combat and also handle better than before. These are the attachments you need to equip:

  • Barrel: AMR9 Commando Pro Barrel

  • Underbarrel: FTAC MSP-98 Handstop

  • Ammunition: 9MM High Grain Rounds

  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW

  • Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip

The AMR9 Commando Pro barrel significantly improves the weapon’s ADS and your movement speed while compromising a bit on recoil and stability. To counter that, we have added the FTAC MSP-98 Handstop and the Sakin ZX Grip with the under barrel further improving ADS and mobility. The 9MM High Grain rounds also increase damage over long range along with bullet velocity. To top it all off the VLK LZR 7MW laser also provides enhanced ADS with a slight buff to sprint-to-fire speed.

If you wish to embrace the weapon’s imperfections, you can also turn it into a mini LMG by swapping the following attachments:

  • Underbarrel: L4R Flash Hider

  • Optics: Cronen Mini Pro

  • Magazine: 50-Round Mag

  • Stock: Hellhound Carbine Stock

Considering that the ARM9 is an underwhelming handler, transforming it into an LMG does make sense. Keeping the main barrel the same, the inclusion of the L4R Flash Hider and the Hellhound Carbine Stock helps counteract the lost recoil. Adding the 50-round Mag and the Cronen Mini Pro sight helps you create a pretty potent machine gun. Do note that you can also change the optics according to your preference.

The Best AMR9 Class Build in MW3

Considering that our main build focuses on mobility and speed, these are the best geard that you can equip:

  • Vest: Overkill Vest

  • Tactical: Flash Grenade

  • Lethal: Semtex

  • Perk 1: Quick-Grip Gloves

  • Perk 2: Covert Sneakers

  • Perk 3: Threat Indentification System

  • Secondary Weapon: RGL-80

The AMR9 is very versatile as it allows players to choose a variety of different classes, depending on their playstyle. We went with an Overkill vest as it allows you to reload while sprinting. The Quick-Grip gloves increases weapon swap speed allowing for faster equips. The Covert Sneakers also come in handy as it will stop your enemy from tracking your location accurately. The Threat Identification Ssytem also helps you improve automatically ping your enemy’s position when you open ADS. Topping it all off is the RGL-80 Grenade launcher, allowing you to push out opponents from their cover.
