Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Suffers Major Launch Day Outages On Xbox

Gold Edition owners of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown are supposed to get access to this new open-world Xbox racer today, however, Nacon and KT Racing aren't having the smoothest 'day zero' launch as it turns out.

For several hours now, the entire game has been inaccessible due to server errors. Yep, the teams opted to go for an online-only approach with TDU Solar Crown; meaning you can't play the game offline at all. This whole saga is already causing a stir on early access release day, with players across social media and the game's digital store reviews not particularly happy with how the game's launch is unfolding.

At the time of writing, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has a 'Mostly Negative' rating on PC platform Steam, with the vast majority of players struggling to get access to the game - and they're making that known via user reviews.

Speaking of reviews, we were hoping to have one ready this week for our Pure Xbox readers, but for the time being, that's looking increasingly unlikely. We managed to get a few hours of playtime in when we initially got access to Solar Crown, but with the arrival of Gold Edition users, the game has become unplayable for the time being.

We intend to bring you our impressions on TDU Solar Crown soon, and in the meantime, we hope everyone who's forked out their hard-earned cash on the game can get access to it as quickly as possible.
