The International 2023 winners, Team Spirit can arguably be regarded as the best team in the professional Dota 2 landscape right now. Aside from being a Dota 2 powerhouse, Team Spirit also makes other content for its fans and followers to enjoy. Earlier, before the start of The International, Team Spirit made a parody music video of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and cleverly titled the parody music video “Smells like Team Spirit.” Now, back with another variety of content for its fans and followers, Team Spirit players sat down for an “intellectual quiz” with Slava "Art1st" Liadnov as the game host.
Art1st Tests Team Spirit’s Players
On 18th January, all five Team Spirit players sat down with Art1st for a three-round quiz based on Dota 2 and General Knowledge. With a total of twenty-four questions divided into three rounds:
Mechanics (Dota 2 Mechanics)
Educational (General Knowledge)
Team Spirit Quiz (A Quiz round on the team and Dota 2 general knowledge)
Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov, Team Spirit’s offlaner was beating the rest of his mates by a margin, as after the 11th round a show of the leaderboards revealed that Collapse was well over 7.5K points while the person after him was Myroslav "Mira" Kolpakov with a difference of 2000 and a score of 5.6K. Collapse displayed an impressive knowledge of the Dota 2 game mechanics, answering seven questions right out of the eight.
The second round was the educational round in which Art1st asked the players questions related to countries, festivals, and basic biology amongst many others. Collapse continued to maintain his lead of over 2000 points, but in an interesting turnaround, Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, who wasn’t talking much during the quiz quietly managed to snatch second place from Mira and claimed the spot for the rest of the game.
The third round of the game included in-game knowledge and questions about Team Spirit. One particular question, “Which hero is not mentioned in the lyrics of “Smells like Team Spirit”?” was laid out during the third round. Everyone put forth Venomancer as the correct answer, but Yatoro locked into Timbersaw and later said that he did not listen to the song.
The game eventually ended after the twenty questions were over. Collapse maintained his lead throughout the quiz and came on top with 11840 points, Yatoro followed closely with 10666 points, third place was claimed by Myroslav "Mira" Kolpakov with 10371 points, the fourth place by Denis "Larl" Sigitov while Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov came in last.
