Switch Otome Visual Novel Charade Maniacs Getting Localized

Idea Factory International is bringing another Otomate Switch otome visual novel to North America and Europe. Charade Maniacs will appear worldwide. It has a Summer 2023 release window. Also, when it does launch, both digital and standard and limited edition physical copies will appear.

In this game, players’ avatar and nine other people (who happen to be potential love interests) are abducted. They’re taken to Arcadia to be “actors” in the “Other World Stream.” However, one of the eight bachelors is “in” on the whole scheme. In order to find a way to get home, they need to play along with the show and perform.

Here’s the Charade Maniacs announcement trailer, which sets the premise for this new Switch otome visual novel. It highlights the different people also pulled into the “Other World Stream” show. There are also peeks at its gameplay.

Charade Maniacs first appeared on the Vita in Japan in 2018. It then showed up on the Switch there in 2021. It is expected to appear in North America and Europe in Summer 2023.
