Surprise! A Sand Land Demo Is Now Available For Xbox Series X|S

Akira Toriyama's Japanese manga series Sand Land is getting a video game release next month and ahead of the game's launch, Bandai Namco has announced a new demo for Xbox Series X|S.

Here's a bit about this action RPG starring the demon-human team Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao and Thief, in case you've not kept up with Bandai Namco's coverage of it so far:

"Dive into a desert world where both humans and demons suffer from an extreme water shortage – SAND LAND. Meet the Fiend Prince Beelzebub, his chaperone Thief, and the fearless Sheriff Rao, and follow the team in an extraordinary adventure in search of the Legendary Spring hidden in the desert.

"In this Action-RPG, you will become the main character Beelzebub, and learn how to control his demonic powers as you lead your company of heroic misfits while exploring the legendary world of SAND LAND. Use your tact and imagination to develop tanks and other vehicles that will help you navigate this ruthless land, and build up your base of operations into a thriving city, bringing back water to the land!"

Sand Land will also be available in standard, deluxe and collector's physical editions on all platforms including Xbox. Each one will include some bonus goodies, too.

Unfortunately, earlier this month, Akira Toriyama actually passed away. He was best known as the creator of Dragon Ball, but also contributed to plenty of other amazing works throughout his lifetime including Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger.
