Firefly Studios is taking its beloved Stronghold series in a new direction with its first mobile-focused title, Stronghold Castles. Set to launch globally in 2024 on iOS and Android, this new entry aims to capture the spirit of the classic Stronghold ‘castle sim’ games while bringing them to the palm of your hand.

Pre-registrations are currently open on the App Store and Google Play to show your interest in this medieval city-building and strategy game.

In Stronghold Castles, you’ll be given your own medieval realm to manage, build, and protect. From toiling the fields and mining resources to training troops and fortifying your castle, the choices are yours to make as you expand your village into a thriving medieval community. The goal is to create a thriving economy where your citizens are leading a good life.

The challenge doesn’t end at your borders, though. There’s always room for expansion. You can lay siege to rival castles in real-time PvP battles, using new units and abilities designed specifically for this mobile reimagining of the classic Stronghold formula. Similar to Clash of Clans, you can use your army and abilities to fight other settlements online to improve your own resources.

In terms of gameplay, you must make use of your city management skills to control various aspects such as peasant food, housing controls, troop armaments, and PvP invasions. Stronghold Castles promises a deeper and more stimulating experience tailored for mobile, taking the core of what made Stronghold engaging and adapting it for quick and tactical play on the go.
