Sims 4 Update Adds Jewish Food and Townie Makeovers

A new Sims 4 base game update has arrived and it offers more multicultural food options and makeovers for some well-known townies.

The Sims 4 does not shy away from making sure their fanbase is represented – whether that’s through adding medical wearables or sexuality/gender options. Now it seems as though they have turned their attention to representing the Jewish community by adding new food options.

Sims 4 Update Introduces Jewish Food Options

In the free update, players can now cook up a storm in the kitchen with some authentic Jewish recipes. This includes meals such as challah bread and matzah ball soup. Although it is a small feature, it is encouraging to know that EA is still focused on incorporating different cultures.

Get ready to dig in because today's Sims Delivery Express adds matzah ball soup & challah bread to The Sims 4 recipe book for the whole family to enjoy ???? pic.twitter.com/Jl7VkiF67o

One of the Sims 4 producers and Guru took to Twitter to talk about the new addition. So glad we can finally share these! The recipes have been in the works for a long time, & the deco challah board is an exciting add. A lot of heart & care went into this release & I hope y’all enjoy it. I can’t wait for what comes next.”

The recipes will automatically become available upon launching the updated game.

New Townie Makeovers

With the infamous Goth family receiving a Townie makeover back in 2022, it seems as though another family has received a refresh. The family in question is the Caliente household who you may know from both Sims 3 and Sims 4 – especially Don Lothario.

Lothario himself is now sporting a beard which is also available in Create A Sim. In order to see the new-and-improved Calientes, you will need to start a new game rather than load up a previous save.

It seems as though EA is going head-to-head with the talented Sims modders with these makeovers. It will be exciting to see who they tackle next.
