Sea Of Thieves PS5 Hopes Sparked Again By Cryptic Valentine’s Day Tweet

2 months ago 120

Rumours of a Sea of Thieves PS5 release have gathered pace today after a Valentine’s Day tweet from the game’s official account has seemingly hinted at PlayStation and Switch port.

The message reads as follows:

Rowboats are red, and sometimes they’re blue, other times they’re green, occasionally they can be white… wait, where we we going with this?

The colours mentioned have been interpreted as references to the three format holders, with Xbox being green, red being Nintendo, and PlayStation blue. White is believed to reference PC or the Epic Games Store. As such, some folk believe this is a hint of a PS5 and Switch release.

Sea of Thieves has been widely rumoured to be heading to PS5 for a while now, and last week it was reported that Microsoft is looking to bring a number of its major exclusives to rival formats, including Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Nothing official has been announced yet, but the format holder will reveal its future plans for Xbox tomorrow, so we won’t have long to wait.
