All we know about Agent 25 so far
Following the release of Iso in Patch 7.09, Riot Games is already gearing up to release its next agent.
It officially announced the reveal of Agent 25 who is speculated to be a controller in Valorant.
Here's all we know about this new agent so far.
Iso was the last Valorant Agent to be introduced to the game in Patch 7.09 in October 2023. With that being a long time ago, Riot Games is already prepping its community and fans for the release of the next new agent, Agent 25 in Valorant. Earlier in December 2023, community dug out a player card that reportedly alluded to the upcoming Valorant agent. This player card, in striking ping and violet hues, has now been teased by Riot Games for the addition of the new agent, thus confirming the fan theories.
Having said all that, the publisher confirmed that the new agent would be revealed very soon.
Riot Games to Unveil Valorant's Next New Agent In March 2024
Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 is just around the corner, and players are hyped and in anticipation to see what's in store for this Act. While Riot Games has not talked about all the details of the new additions, it did confirm that it will be revealing its next Valorant Agent 25 very soon.
On 4th Maarch, it wrote on its social media handles, "Look familiar? It shouldn’t. We’re revealing a new Agent during the final match at VCT Masters Madrid. Turn up and watch it live on March 24."
However, fans should have in mind that this does not mean that the new Valorant agent would be released on 24th March. There are no indications from Riot Games about their release date. Given the fact that new agents are added to Valorant at the start of each act, fans can likely expect to Valorant Agent 25 at the beginning of Valorant Episode 8 Act 3.
Valorant New Agent: Code Name, Rumored Release Date & Other Details
Riot Games tends to drop easter eggs in its in-game assets like Player Cards and Sprays. One such easter egg was reportedly spotted in the Episode 8 Act 1 Battle Pass and the community was quick to realize that it was the next new Valorant agent.
The Battle Pass has one peculiar player card, with shades of purple and yellow covering it. It also has a big silhouette of what looks like a butterfly in the center with smaller ones around the boundaries of the player card. The same image has now been used in the official agent teasers.
Prominent leaker ValorLeaks on Twitter said, "New Agent Teaser | #VALORANT. Agent seems to be a Controller."
According to ValorLeaks, the Agent will reportedly be a new "Controller" and is speculated to get a release window during Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 in March 2024.
The leaker also added, "Card belongs towards the agent codenamed 'SmokeDancer."
If their role is confirmed to be a controller, then Agent codenamed SmokeDancer will be the sixth controller in Valorant.
