Resident Evil 7 Early Concept Art Reveals Leon In Fictional European Setting

Concept art for a scrapped version of Resident Evil 7 (colloquially dubbed Resident Evil 6.5 by fans) has surfaced online via noted insider Dusk Golem on Twitter.

According to the artwork, this scrapped version of the 2017 survival horror game would have played in a similar manner to Resident Evil 6, and featured Leon S. Kennedy and Sherry Birkin exploring a fictional European setting.

This version of the game was obviously far cry from the final edition of Resident Evil 7, which acted as soft reboot that introduced a brand new character (Ethan Winters), a new first-person viewpoint and brand new enemies.

Last year it was revealed that Resident Evil 7 would have been a live service game complete with microtransactions if Capcom had had their way. Thank god that never happened!
