Day 1 of the RA Esports Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Champions Gala Grand Finals concluded with seasoned teams like iQOO Soul, Godlike Esports and Team Tamilas dominating the event. 

Rudra “Spower” and Nakul “Nakul” Sharma from iQOO Soul dominated the finish leaderboards with 22 and 18 finishes respectively.

The RA Esports BGMI Champions Gala Grand Finals will see 16 teams competing for a prize pool of INR 6.5 Lakhs.

RA Esports BGMI Champions Gala Grand Finals Day 1 Match Summary

Match 1 Erangel: iQOO Soul secured a massive 26 point chicken dinner to start the Grand Finals. Nakul “Nakul” Sharma from iQOO Soul was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match with 7 finishes. Carnival Gaming placed second and got 10 points. Team XSpark placed third, showed good rotations and scored 9 points. Team Tamilas and Godlike Esports placed fourth and fifth and got 8 points each. Reckoning Esports was eliminated early without any points.

Match 2 Miramar: iQOO Soul secured back to back chicken dinners with 19 points. Global Esports and Medal Esports placed second and third and scored 12 points each. Darklord from Medal Esports was the MVP of the match with 4 finishes. Reckoning Esports placed fourth, showed aggressive gameplay and got 10 points, 8 of which came via finishes. Hyderabad Hydras placed fifth and got 9 points. Carnival Gaming and Team Zero were eliminated in the initial stages with 1 point each.

Match 3 Sanhok: Team Tamilas secured a 21 point chicken dinner. MrIGL from Team Tamilas was the MVP of the match with 6 finishes. Carnival Gaming continued its momentum and grabbed 14 points. Hydra Esports placed third and got 11 points. Team Zero and iQOO Soul placed fourth and fifth and scored 8 points each. Team XSpark, Orangutan and Global Esports were eliminated in the early stages with zero points.

Match 4 Erangel: iQOO Soul secured its third chicken dinner of the day with 30 points, 20 of which came via finishes. Rudra “Spower” from iQOO Soul was the MVP of the match with 7 finishes. Team Aaru placed second, it made a comeback and got 14 points. Team Zero placed third and got 11 points. WSB Gaming and Team XSpark placed fourth and fifth, they also made a comeback and scored 9 points each. Carnival Gaming, Reckoning Esports and Revenant Esports were eliminated with 1 point each.

Match 5 Miramar: Reckoning Esports secured a comeback chicken dinner with 19 points. Viper from Reckoning Esports was the MVP of the match with 5 finishes. Carnival Gaming placed second, it showed aggressive gameplay and got 16 points, 10 of which came via finishes. iQOO Soul and Team Tamilas placed third and fourth and scored 11 points each. WSB Gaming placed fifth and got 6 points, all coming via finishes. Hyderabad Hydras and Team Zero faced early elimination with 1 point each.

Match 6 Sanhok: Godlike Esports secured a 28 point chicken dinner. Jonathan “Jonathan” Amaral from Godlike Esports was the MVP of the match with 10 solo finishes. Team Tamilas placed second and got 14 points. Hyderabad Hydras placed third and got 10 points. Medal Esports and Orangutan placed fourth and fifth and scored 6 points each. Alibaba Raiders was eliminated early with just a single point.

Day 1 of the event was dominated by seasoned teams like iQOO Soul, Team Tamilas and Godlike Esports along with the other experienced teams like Carnival Gaming and Reckoning Esports. Some of the teams like Orangutan and Global Esports who dominated the Semi Finals were unable to show consistent performances on Day 1 and are placed in the second half of the points table.
