PS5 Tops Console Sales Charts In Revenue And Units Sold In US For April 2024

Sales numbers for game and consoles sales in the US for April 2024 are now available from Circana executive director and analyst Mat Piscatella, which again shows the PlayStation 5 sitting at the top of console sales charts, this time both in revenue and units sold.

Following behind the PS5 was the Nintendo Switch, with Xbox’s Series X/S consoles arriving in third for units sold, a placement that feels like it’ll remain stagnant until new hardware from any of the three console platforms is on the scene.

A win for Xbox though in that it came 2nd in regards to revenue, with the Nintendo Switch coming in 3rd.

With PlayStation sitting at the top of the charts for another month into 2024, it continues to be the market leader for 2024.

Earlier this month Sony revealed that the PS5 had hit 59.3 million units shipped worldwide, a huge milestone for the console to hit months ahead of its four year launch anniversary.

Elsewhere, not in hardware but in peripherals, the PS Portal continues to surprise, and was the best-selling accessory for April 2024.
