Nintendo Announces Nintendo Direct for February 2023

Nintendo has officially announced the first Nintendo Direct showcase of 2023, coming later this week. Nintendo did not mention the specific games and content that will be featured in the presentation. However, this first event of the year will surely give fans a glimpse of what to anticipate from Nintendo in 2023.

The Direct will be the first Nintendo Direct of 2023. The last Nintendo took place in September last year, followed by an Indie World Showcase in October. According to the announcement on Twitter, the Direct will take place on February 8, 2023. The showcase will stream live starting at 5 p.m. EST/2 p.m. PST. According to the announcement, the live stream will provide new details on upcoming Switch games. Nintendo stated that the live stream will last  “approximately” 40 minutes and will highlight new games for the Nintendo Switch that will launch in the first half of 2023.

February’s Nintendo Direct will stream live on the company’s website. You can access the event live through this link provided during the announcement. Additionally, the showcase will be live on the Nintendo of America youtube channel. As usual, you can always watch the live stream on Youtube late.

What Games to expect in the Nintendo Direct?

While the announcement did not reveal the games that will be discussed during the showcase, fans can expect games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game is a  sequel to Breath of the Wild and one of the most highly anticipated games in 2023. We might also get new details on Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe and Octopath Traveler II. The two games will launch on February 24. The showcase might also feature Pikmin 4 and Minecraft Legends. 

The Nintendo Direct will take place tomorrow, February 8, at  5 p.m. EST/2 p.m. PST.
