Where to buy Legend of Zelda amiibo in time for Tears of the Kingdom

1 year ago 137

The Legend of Zelda amiibo are some of the toughest ones to find. But it’s getting a little easier to secure ones for yourself ahead of the May 12 launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch. Best Buy is accepting pre-orders for the Link amiibo from Majora’s Mask, and GameStop has the Link amiibo from Twilight Princess available for pre-order.

Nintendo has confirmed that tapping certain Zelda-themed amiibo on your Switch will change the look of Link’s paraglider, with a different design depending on the figure. As we get closer the game’s launch (we suggest pre-ordering, if you haven’t already), we’ll likely find out if more amiibo figures have special interactivity. Nintendo recently showed off 10 minutes of Tears of the Kingdom gameplay, and announced a limited edition Zelda Switch OLED that’s available for pre-order and comes out on April 28.

Below, we’ve included links to amiibo that Nintendo says will offer special Tears of the Kingdom integration. We’ll be adding links to retailers who have stock available to pre-order or purchase, with pricier alternatives in case you’re willing to pay more to get your hands on them.

Link (Majora’s Mask) amiibo

Best Buy currently lists this amiibo as “coming soon,” with a May 12 release date — the same day when Tears of the Kingdom will release in the United States. It’s now available for pre-order.
