BOOM Esports Wins VCL 2023 Indonesia Split 2 And Qualifies For Pacific Ascension

Ready to represent the country against the best from APAC.

BOOM Esports defeats Dominatus in the grand final of the VCL 2023 Indonesia Split 2.

BOOM Esports has been crowned as the champions following a 5-2 run in the group stage and 3-1 in the playoffs.

BOOM Esports will now go on to represent Indonesia at the VCT 2023 Ascension Pacific.

One of the most popular esports organizations from Indonesia, BOOM Esports has been crowned as champions of the VCL 2023 Indonesia Split 2 following its victory against a team called Dominatus.

The best-of-five grand finals did not go the distance, but it still pushed BOOM Esports to step up and not take things too lightly. This resulted in a comfortable yet challenging 3-1 win against Dominatus, an unexpected rival that qualified through the open qualifier and made it this far.

As a result of this accomplishment, BOOM Esports will represent Indonesia at the upcoming VCT 2023 Ascension Pacific, taking on some of the best teams from across the APAC region for one available slot in the VCT 2024/2025 Pacific League.

BOOM Esports has been crowned as the champions of VCL 2023 Indonesia Split 2

Since the start of the season, BOOM Esports was a team to look out for. They enjoyed a successful run in the VCL 2023 Indonesia Split 1, finishing as the runners-up right behind Bigetron Arctic, a constant threat for the side.

Bigetron Arctic and BOOM Esports played against each other thrice in the first tournament, once during the regular season and twice in the playoffs. Unfortunately, the latter never managed to attain victory against the former, all their matches going the distance but the result remained the same.

This was one of the main reasons why BOOM Esports failed to achieve victory despite dominating every other team. In the VCL 2023 Indonesia Split 2, BOOM Esports came better prepared and handed a clean 2-0 defeat to Bigetron Arctic in the group stage.

Sadly, the two teams could not face each other in the playoffs, but BOOM still faced a slight hiccup in the upper bracket final as it lost to Dominatus by a 2-0 scoreline.

The team managed to remain calm and made it to the grand final through the lower bracket final, where it avenged the earlier loss and won the tournament by defeating Dominatus with a comfortable 3-1 scoreline.

Fikri "famouz" Zak, the 24-year-old talented duelist from BOOM Esports was named as the MVP for his consistently brilliant showing during the VCL 2023 Indonesia Split 2.

It will be their toughest challenge yet with top teams from every region delivering their absolute best to grab the one available spot and make it into the international circuit.
