Square Enix has brought its Buster Sword down on an epic Final Fantasy VII Rebirth trailer for your viewing pleasure, which puts the spotlight on silver-haired baddie Sephiroth, as well as a snipper of the various boss battles you’ll be experiencing.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second entry in the Final Fantasy Remake series, and sees Cloud and his buddies leaving the city of Midgar as they embark on their global hunt for Sephiroth. This chapter in the remake project will see players able to explore a huge portion of the world, visiting locations such as Kalm, Junon Harbour, Gold Saucer, and more, with Chocobos appearing to help you navigate the map.
Tetsuya Nomura, the creative director behind Final Fantasy VII Remake, revealed that he opted to take on the massive project as he knew that someone else at Square Enix would eventually jump on it if he didn’t.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is scheduled for release on February 29, 2024 exclusively on PS5.
