According to the Dota 2 Majors Registration Page, Johan "N0tail" Sundstein and Arif "MSS" Anwar have left Old G.

The three players that remain on the team are Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, and Volodymyr "Noone" Minenko.

The two new players are currently unknown, however former Team Secret offlaner Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok is reportedly going to be joining.

Despite failing to qualify for Tour 1 of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2023, Old G might not be disbanding entirely as some players are continuing to play. The Dota 2 Majors Registration Page indicates that Johan "N0tail" Sundstein and Arif "MSS" Anwar have left the team, but the remaining three players are still active: Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, and Volodymyr "Noone" Minenko. The two new members of Old G's Dota 2 squad are yet to be revealed. The team will likely be competing in the open qualifier of Tour 2 of the DPC 2023 which begins in a few days.

Old G is down to three players as N0tail and MSS move out

With Old G being more of a casual team formed by the game’s top veterans, the news of N0tail and MSS only became known through Valve’s official Players Registration Page. As it stands, the team is now down to three players.

In Dec 2022, Old G was formed by former OG teammates and two experienced Dota 2 players, who have all shown incessant zeal to compete in the game. Since these five members have a reputation to boast, they brought a lot of buzz into the tournament even though they started in the open qualifier.

However, as many were surprised to learn, Old G underperformed in the closed qualifier quite a lot and even failed to make Division II. The players appeared to be playing more individually and never appeared in sync.

Later on in OG's Monkey Business podcast, Ceb and N0tail discussed Old G's future, and while they were grateful for the opportunity, N0tail stated that he did not want to spend more time in the game than necessary as a competitor.

Currently, N0tail and MSS are out, and Ceb is playing a lot of position four heroes in ranked games, so Old G is likely to see an offlaner and a position five player fill in.

The team is expected to employ Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok who recently left Team Secret as the new offlaner, according to an escorenews report. The final confirmation, on the other hand, has yet to arrive and will be made public shortly, as the roster lock deadline is 11th March.

There will be a lot of hope among Old G fans this time around for the team to live up to the standard its players have set over the years and make it to Division II seamlessly. The qualifier for the event starts in a few days.
