MPL KH Penalized Logic Esports Roamer ATEV for Promoting Gambling Website

Logic Esports roamer Ly “ATEV” Kimhong was penalized by the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Cambodia (MPL KH) committee for allegedly promoting a betting website. According to the league, the pro player violated rules 11.2.2.8 and 11.3, also known as “Acts detrimental to the interest of the league” under “Involving Gambling.” Logic Esports was fined for this violation and has lost some of its privileges in the upcoming MPL KH Spring Split 2023. ATEV is also not allowed to transfer to a new team or register himself as a pro player in tournaments until the restriction has been lifted.

Logic Esports and its roamer penalized for promoting a gambling website

The official Facebook page of MPL KH announced that Logic Esports and its roamer ATEV have been penalized after a series of violations. 

“We conducted a series of investigations and inquiries to identify the violations made by ATEV from Logic Esports who made inappropriate comments on social media,” MPL KH wrote.

According to the MPL-KH official competition rules, ATEV violated rules 11.2.2.8 and 11.3. This rule “prohibits members of the team to organize, engage in, or assist another person engaging in, either directly or indirectly, betting or gambling.”

Due to this violation, both Logic Esports and ATEV shall be penalized. ATEV is banned from participating in any official MLBB esports event as well as authorized third-party tournaments for six months. He is also not allowed to transfer or register as a player over the duration of the restriction.

Logic Esports, on the other hand, is required to make a formal apology in its social media handles as well as pay a hefty fine of $500 USD. The team’s right to choose a side during the MPL KH Spring Split shall also be revoked. The privilege will be transferred to whoever the team faces in the upcoming tournament.
