Mortal Kombat 1 Season 5: Storms releases today along with a new trailer and a new playable character, Ermac

Season 5 of Mortal Kombat 1 was released today, titled Storms, and with this new season comes a slew of new content based around the arrival of Raiden as the main boss in Invasions mode, including challenges, story elements, boss battles, character skins, and rewards. Ermac also joined Mortal Kombat 1 today for Kombat Pack owners, but will be made available to all on April 23rd. You can check out the latest trailer above and read below for more details:

Warner Bros. Games today released the latest Mortal Kombat 1 trailer spotlighting the launch of Season 5: Storms, an all-new season of content themed around the arrival of Raiden as the main boss in Invasions mode. This season features fresh challenges, story elements, boss battles, and rewards, including character skins – Gaffer Johnny Cage, Sudden Overload Scorpion, Voltaic Deity Liu Kang, Electric Soul Liu Kang, Voltaic Warrior General Shao, Charged Frost Sub-Zero, Magnetic Courage Kung Lao, Glistening Mage Rain, Tainted by Evil Raiden, and more – all earnable through Invasions and Kombat League. Season 5: Storms is available now until June 4.

Ermac joins the Mortal Kombat 1 roster today as the latest downloadable content (DLC) character via the early access period for Kombat Pack owners, followed by wide availability on April 23. Fans can check out a gameplay breakdown of Ermac, upcoming Kameo Fighter Mavado (available May 2024), and the upcoming seasonal content in this week’s Kombat Kast.

Additionally, exclusive rewards for Mortal Kombat 1 will be available via Twitch Drops from April 22-29, including the Hot Minute and Packing Heat character palettes for Scorpion, Holy Hell and Killing Time character palettes for Ashrah, and Wasting Disease and Binge Watcher character palettes for Baraka.
