Mikko and Saxa Joins Team SMG for MPL MY Season 12

Team SMG acquires two new Filipino imports for MPL MY Season 12.

The team signed former TNX Pro Team member Saxa, and former Omega Esports member Mikko.

The MPL MY Season 12 is scheduled to kick off on 18th August 2023.

The trend of importing Filipino talent into foreign teams remains strong, as Team SMG recently bolstered its roster for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) Season 12. This exciting development was unveiled during a highly anticipated roster reveal on August 5th, 2023. Among the acquisitions are two prominent players, Kenneth "Saxa" Fedelin from the esteemed TNC Pro Team and Mico "Mikko" Tabangay from Omega Esports, both known for their exceptional skills and expertise. 

The MPL MY Season 12 is scheduled to kick off on 18th August 2023. The stakes are high this season as teams shall compete for the highly coveted M5 World Championship ticket.

Team SMG taps into more Filipino talents for MPL MY Season 12

As Malaysian teams make preparations for the upcoming MPL MY Season 12, Team SMG announced its full roster for the upcoming league event.

Its updated lineup features two new Filipino imports who have shown their capabilities in previous MPL Philippines (PH) seasons.

Saxa has a lot of experience competing in both amateur and professional leagues in PH. Some of his noteworthy teams include ArkAngel Esports, Bren Esports (now known as AP Bren), and TNC Pro Team.

Mikko was molded by Omega Esports to be an exceptional talent. Under the renowned Comeback Kings, the pro player has competed in various tournaments such as the SIBOL 2022 National Team Selection, MPL PH Season 10, and Season 11. He has recently joined Team SMG during the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 where the team finished an upsetting 13th-6th place.

Team SMG almost came close to claiming a championship title in the MPL MY Season 11. The team finished second place after losing with a 0-4 score against TODAK in the grand finals. It will be interesting to see how Team SMG performs in the upcoming MPL MY Season 12 with its two new Filipino imports.
