The preload times for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have been revealed thanks to an eagle-eyed pre-order customer. Here’s everything we know.

The next instalment of Marvel’s Spider-Man is due to launch on October 20. However, with what we can imagine to be a hefty download, getting a head start with a preload might be the best idea. Luckily, we have received the dates you can start preparing.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Preload Times

This news comes courtesy of Twisted Voxel who noticed the preload dates had been revealed via a pre-ordered digital copy of the game. If you search for the title on the PS Store once you have pre-ordered, you will see the auto-download date.

So to get one step ahead, you can start downloading Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on October 13, 2023 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST. This will be a week before the game launches exclusively for PlayStation 5.

Additionally, the pre-load will automatically include an update that will need to be installed in order to play the game on day one. For physical disc owners, they can install this when they receive their copy.

Furthermore, players can expect an additional install for a day-one patch.

What To Expect

As mentioned, this Spider-Man instalment will follow on from Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It will follow both Peter and Miles, who you can switch between, as they face some well-known enemies such as Venom, The Lizard and Kraven the Hunter.

We already know that the map size will be double that of the first game and will see our Spider-Men exploring Brooklyn, Queens and other unconfirmed boroughs of New York.

Unfortunately, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 won’t have a co-op mode but with the ability to switch characters, we can still expect to have an exciting web-slinging time this October.

Are you excited to play as Peter and Miles again? Let us know across our social media platforms.
