Lords of the Fallen Release Date – Everything We Know

Today saw CI Games reveal the release date for their upcoming action RPG Lords of the Fallen. This was announced alongside some exclusive gameplay. Here’s everything we know.

First released back in 2014, Lords of the Fallen is the reboot/remake heading to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year. You will play as the Dark Crusader, a warrior who must go against the demon god Adyr in the land of Mournstead. With the land ravaged by the god, you must restore it during an epic and brutal journey. 

Lords of the Fallen Release Date

Lords of the Fallen will launch on Friday October 13 (hopefully the unlucky date does not allude to the game). The dark fantasy RPG has been compared to Elden Ring making it a very Soulslike title. 

In the accompanying trailer that shows the epic action alongside Iron Maiden’s Fear of the Dark, we see a whole lot of giants, dragons and horrific creatures. With the game being built in Unreal Engine 5, it is no surprise it looks incredible.

“To celebrate, we are sharing a deeper look at the horrors of Mournstead, an immersive, dark fantasy world that will challenge even the bravest players, with its unique two-realm mechanic. We can’t wait for players to raise their Umbral Lamps this October, and discover the many secrets that lurk behind the darkness.”

With a release date comes pre-ordering options for Lord of the Fallen. Players can choose between the Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s Editions. 

The Deluxe Edition will include the base game, digital soundtrack, 100-page art book, 3D model viewer and the Dark Crusader Starting Class. The Starting Class includes an armour set, Isaac’s Longsword, Holy Light Explosives and Paladin’s Pendant.

For those who want to upgrade to the Collector’s Edition, you will receive all of the above and more. This includes a double-sided poster & art cards, metal display case with LED light, 10” Crusader Figurine and the Collector’s Steelbook.
