List of all Games Announced in the Xbox Showcase 2023

The 2023 Xbox Showcase went live on Friday, 11 June and with it fans received a number of new trailers and first looks for upcoming games.

Bethesda had a 45 minute Starfield Direct where they unveiled a trailer for the upcoming game and had an in depth discussion of its development.

Other titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, Fabled, Star Wars Outlaws, Forza Motorsport, and Overwatch 2 also had exciting reveals.

Gamers around the world united on June 11, 2023 as Xbox unveiled a number of new games and game expansions in the highly anticipated Xbox Showcase 2023. From a release date for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, to a much awaited new trailer for Playground Games’ Fable. Reveals for exciting remakes such as Persona 3 Reload and Forza Motorsport, the follow up to the 2017 title Forza Motorsport 7 also showed stunning new visuals and next gen graphics.

Fable

Release Date: TBA

Playground Games released its first trailer for its open-world Action RPG title Fable. With just a cinematic teaser and no official gameplay showcased, fans were left disappointed with the reveal.

Starfield

Release Date: 6th September 2023

Bethesda released a new trailer for Starfield right before the 45 minute Starfield direct. Also announced was the Collectors Edition for the game which includes neat items such as Starfield themed headsets and a controller and a special watch. The announcement was met with approval as fans marveled at the exquisite visuals and the deep dive provided by Bethesda in the Direct.

Forza Motorsport

Release date: October 10 2023

The new trailer showcased the next gen visuals of the game which was met with overwhelming fan support online and showcased the cover cars for the game, including the 2023 No.01 Cadillac Racing V-Series Racecar and 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, both of which will be available for fans to drive in Forza Motorsport.

Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica

Release Date: Early 2024, and November 17 respectively.

Altus finally revealed their two new Persona installments. Persona 5 Tactica, which is a Tactical RPG with a style similar to the Fire Emblem games and is connected to the Persona 5 world, even sharing similar artwork styles.The trailer for Persona 3 Reload included some shots of gameplay with the new graphics which brings it closer to the style of recent games such as Persona 5 both visually and gameplay-wise.

Star Wars Outlaws

Release Date: 2024

The first ever open-world Star Wars title was also part of the show. Set between the events of Episode V and VI, the new trailer showcased iconic Star Wars sights such as Stormtroopers, cantinas, droids, and a Rancor. Fans expressed joy at the visuals and the open world concept of the game and voiced their desires for good character creation and story.

Cyberpunk 2077:Phantom Liberty

Release Date: September 26

CD Projekt Red revealed the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, providing a look into the new area Dogtown, starring returning star Keanu Reeves and newly introduced Solomon Reed who is played by Idris Elba. The announcement was met with overwhelming hype as the expansion also brings in new features and improvements for the base game itself which made fans happy.

Microsoft Flight Simulator: Dune Expansion

Release Date: November 3

We got a new look at Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which adds a ton of new features and improvements. And also got a look into the upcoming Dune expansion in partnership with Warner Brothers and brings the iconic Thopter into the game. This expansion is set to release on November 3, alongside the second installment to the Dune film saga.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2

Release Date: 2024

We got a much awaited release period for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 alongside a new trailer which showcased incredible next gen visuals. Fans were, however, disappointed at the lack of a gameplay showcase.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Release Date: 2024

Sega and RGG Studios gave us a first look at the new Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and is set to launch early 2024 on Xbox and PC. The announcement was received with mixed reviews as fans questioned if it was an Xbox exclusive and criticized the characters shown in the trailer

Overwatch 2 reveals new story content, gameplay mode and a new Hero

Release Date: August 10

Overwatch 2 revealed the “biggest content drop yet” with new story missions, a new Flashpoint gamemode, Hero Mastery, a firing range, and a brand new co-op experience. This gives fans hope for the future of the game following complaints by fans of the game’s state following its release.

Avowed


Release Date:2024


Obsidian’s long awaited title Avowed was met with hype by fans and will have players return to the world of Eora on a new adventure through the Living Lands. In this First Person RPG, players will explore this unfamiliar world, traverse diverse ecosystems and uncover the secrets of the world.

The Xbox Showcase 2023 undoubtedly showcased an impressive lineup of games that cater to a wide range of gaming preferences. From immersive open-world adventures to gripping narratives, the event unveiled titles that are sure to keep players hooked for hours on end and await these upcoming releases.
